Once Again – England Break our Heart

22/11/2007 – a date to be remember

I’m surprise to see England failed to Qualify to next year European Cup, like usual it break millions of England’s supporter heart. But this time is different, this time it break our heart into pieces……pieces that will take a long time to heal or even the pieces that we will never forget for the rest of our life.

We look at the players in England team, most of them are playing in a big league – they play in the most entertaining and competitive league in the world. They get good pays, respect, honors, and win everything that can achieved for the club but when come to National Team, some of them suddenly become a different person, like a non-league player or like playing “KAMPUNG BOLA”……what is happening to them? Because of the pressure or because of something else..

I’m writing to share with you guys with my point of view on why England fails – once again.

1. The Manager – Steve Mcclaren

From the 1^st day he took over the post as England Manager, I knew that he will failed one day but what I didn’t expect is he failed to qualify to one of the world biggest competition after WORLD CUP – the European Cup. Although we can’t blame only the manager, the players also need to take on the responsibility but as you guys can see on what he has done against the Croatia match. You will know what I mean? He is making a terrible mistake that even a football outsider will question” What the hell is he doing to the team?”

His Mistake:

a)      Lack of confident

Not only lack of confident for his self but also lack of confidence against the players his pick. Until the last match against Croatia, he still can’t figure out who is the best 11? Who is the right person to replace those key players that can’t play for England because of injury? Look at the line up and you will know.

b)      Poor tactical knowledge.

In my point of view that England should play 4-4-2 instead of 4-5-1. Although without Rooney & Owen in the team, there is still much option that can be used by Mcclaren. But Mcclaren insists to use 1 striker alone – Peter Crouch who I see is only dangerous on the air and if the opponent team force England to play ground ball, he is useless.

c)      Poor man management

Untested Goalkeeper – Steve Carson, Started Shaun Wright Philip ahead of David Beckham (Beckham may not have the skills of dribbling like Christiano Ronaldo, the speed like Arjen Robben but his cross /passing/ freekick is a lethal weapon, a night mare to many of the goal keeper that he has beaten before.) The world is expecting Beckham will play in the right flank as England first 11 but unfortunately no. Mcclaren is using the one who can only perform in the Play Station to play for England. Although Mclarren is realized his mistake in the 2^nd half and replace Wright Phillip with Beckham and with the help of Beckham England pull back on level but at the end, even god can’t change the result.

d)      Lack of Luck

Sometime, luck play a crucial part in football. But good manager manage to chance football team luck, bad manager only depends on luck or miracle to happen. There are so many capable, talented & experienced coaches around the world. I really do not understand why the English F.A have to appoint Mcclaren to be the England Manager. It is the toughest coaching jobs in the world especially when you are coaching a national team. Hired an individual that is not capable to coach a national team is like playing fire in the gas station. Now, it proves our feeling towards Mcclaren from the first time is right. He is not the one for England.

1. The Players

The most memorable moment for all the England Supporters is their team winning the World Cup at 1966. But since then, England didn’t manage to reach into the final for all the major competitions. Why?

            a)  It is more like a business than sports.

Back to 1960/70, a professional footballer wages is not as much as what we can see today. Beside, professional footballers not only have to play well but they also need to know how to market their self into the world market. How to increase publicity? How to discuss the personal term & conditions with their sponsor? How to talk in front of the press?  All of the above mentioned involve with the money term.

Imagine that you are playing for one of the world more reputable/richest club, you are earning 100,000 euro or more a week, the fans like you even your home ground people also proud of you. All of this happened because you know how to play football – with your legs. The club owner willing to pay you because you can generate more income than he/she can never ever imagine. When come to the national team, what would you get when play for your country? An honor? Respect? Prizes money? Recognition from the royal family. How much does this all cost? 1 million? 2 million? ……

For them, it is worth nothing. If I play well for my country but unfortunately I broke my legs in the international tournament, without the legs what can I achieve? Will the club treat me the same way as old time? For my own good, it is better not to be very serious when play for the country. Better to keep my talent and show it for the club because they are my major income contributor. Yes, my country hates me, but I still have fans in the club and believed it or not, people tend to forget things easily. After a certain period of time, I’m still the hero of the country. The country still needs me as there is no one that can play well like me. Just get in the pitch, run here and there for 90 minutes, if the team win – thanks god for that, if the team lose – mostly manager is the 1^st person that will be blame by the people. Just relax and do my jobs. The most important things is I need to go back to play for my club, when I do that, I have to ensure that I’m physically fits.

Now you know why the biggest name in the world of football can’t perform well when playing for his country, because they didn’t / don’t want to commit to the country. They play with minimum effort, pray for god not to injure during the tournament with maximum effort, depend on others to contribute, and depends on others to bring the team to victory. With such attitudes, what do you expect for the team? Better not to expect too much from them. I’m not saying that everyone in the team is the same, just some of them……they should not be recall to play for their country.

1. The Public/ Press and Fans

            a)  Pressure

      Most of us love England Team, we watch EPL every Saturday because it is

            Exciting and entertaining compare to other league, we watch our favorite team play, we talk about it all day long, and because of this. Many of the guys come across football in their teenage ages – Especially England. Sometime, we are expecting too much from the team. It has been a pressure for the entire player in the team. When they didn’t play well, the fans are unhappy; the press is attacking, even the public will threatening them. The players feel unsecured when playing for the country especially in the big tournament such as European Cup or World Cup. Once the team failed to deliver, the pressure that coming to them is too big and not every individual know how to get through with it. Our expectation towards our favorite team sometime is also become one of the factors that lead them to failure.

1. The F.A

            a)  Meaning.

                  F.A means the Failure to Act. Think wise before hired some one to in charge the team. The English F.A must see this time failure as they lesson and learn from the mistake. They are letting their own country down for quite some time; it is time to take some actions to improve the current situation.

21st May 2008 is the day that every single manchested united fans in this world will never forget-including me.After of 9 years waiting since man utd last crowned as the champion of Europe in year 1999, man utd has done it again for us. For those who watched the final match in live will feel the pressure and excitement in the game between the two giant English Club ( Chelsea & Manchested United). The excitement is when Man utd leads after Christiano header in 28 minutes and the score is even when Frank Lampard equalizer before end of the 1st half. The pressure came in the 2nd half when chelsea has 2 golden chances that hit the post and nearly break our heart. After 90 minutes + 30 minutes extra time, the match still ended as 1-1 and come the moments that we need to hold our breath - THE PENALTY KICK. After a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea at the Luzhniki Stadium, United are champions of Europe for the third time.Forty years after first winning the European Cup at Wembley in 1968 + the second champion league trophy in 1999, united has done it again in year 2008. it is an amazing archievement for the club, the players, manager and the fans - THE TREBBLE as King of Europe. Beside, united has also crowned as the champion in the English Premier League this year. The double heavy weight trophy is now added into united pocket and there will be more to come in the future. GO GO MAN UTD.

I believed almost every single person in this planet have a dream to become a rich man or rich woman. Because when you become rich, you can almost own anything you want in the world. A dream home, a luxurious watch, a limited edition sport car and etc. A study showed that, 3% of the people in this world owned 97% of the wealth and 97% of the people share the remaining 3% of wealth. Sound impossible right? But it is a fact; you just need to believe it. How can the 3% of the people make such a fortune? Some of them become rich in a day just because their parents left over a great fortune for them but most of them create their own fortune by venture into business. You will asked what kind of business can become generate such a great fortune, my answer for you at the moment is that any business that come into your mind right now. YES, anything. Even selling “kuih pisang”? Yes, definitely Yes. It’s depends how you build, manage and growth your business. It required a lot of knowledge and experience to do it. I’m not here to teach you do business because I’m haven’t become success in my business and I’m not qualified to share anything to you guys but I do failed in my business before. What I want to share is something I learn from my failure.

I’m really a ambitious and motivated person, when I still in high school I always dream of to have my own business and I never think of working for others. I believed a lot of you guys have the same thought with me. I read a lot of books especially those “how do you become a millionaire in blah….blah…blah days, weeks or even years”. Is there really has a short cut to become rich? Why it is most of the people become rich at their mid 30 or 40? Why can’t they become success in their early 20???Is there possible for a person to become success in their early 20? Yes, there is. For me the answer is you get into MLM business instead to have your own business. This is the fastest way to become rich when you are young, but the consequences is that you will lost more than you can ever imagine…families, friends and etc. I’m not try to offence any of the MLM business in the world, beside I do really impress on their business system. If you really follow exactly what they tell you to do, you really can become rich, at least richer than before but how many individual in this world passionate enough to always follow the system, how many individual can treat a hundred or even thousand rejection as a none failure. Not really everyone can, the only person that can do it is the person that stand on top of the pyramid. They also scarified a lot to become a person that you and I always dream to be. Guys, there is not such thing to become rich by going short cut. Fortune was build through action and time. The only different between us with rich person is our thinking. Just as simple as that. Rich people talk less work hard, normal people talk more work less. For rich people, a failure is a step forward to success, for normal person, a failure is a failure. Rich people always think positively no matter how hard is the situation, Rich people believed there is a solution for every problem, and rich people take a lot ACTION,ACTION, ACTION, ACTION AND ACTION to become what they are today.

Few years back, I worked with a very experienced and knowledgeable manager in a local firm. I’m impress of his personality, the way he talk, the way he handle problem, the way he manage things and a lot more. In my mind, he has everything a person need to become success and rich. I believed if he goes out to build his own business, he will become more success than he is right now? But why he still working for others? It is a question mark for me until when I left the company I don’t even get my answer. Until recently, I finally think of something to answer my own question. It is “Risk”; they are not willing to take the risk of doing business in their age. They have commitment and family to take care of; there are a lot for them to take into consideration when doing business. Because of that, why don’t just works for the pay slip and wait for the EPF maturity date. It is a safe way to live. When I figure it out, I know if you want to have your own business, better start it earlier before it become too late. Try to imagine, if you fall when you are young; you still can stand up, may be it takes you 5 to 10 years to rebuild your business but when you fall at the age of 50 or 60++, how can you stand up again? How many 5 to 10 years time you get in a life time? You are not energetic and aggressive as compare to 20 or 30 years back when you are young. Don’t afraid to take the 1st step, it is difficult at the beginning but the pay off is rewarding when you do it in a right way. Even though you fail on your first and second attempt, doesn’t mean you will fail on the third and fourth attempt unless you don’t really admit the mistake you make on your first and second attempt. For all the guys that failed 1st time in your business, cheers up as it is no short cut to become rich and successful in short cut. Imagine if every first timer becomes success and rich in business, who else want to work for others? The word “employee” doesn’t even exist on our dictionary. If everybody is self employed, what of world is that? Step by step, learn from people who is already success, don’t afraid of making mistake and dealt with problem instead of avoid them, be more passionate as success

Hope that we can bring back the money we have won when they bring us to a fake casino.

Yahoo merging with Microsoft is a bad news for Google don’t you think? Microsoft the world largest software giant proposed $47.5 billion to acquire Yahoo but Yahoo disagreed with the price, instead of $33 per share Yahoo demands for $37 per share. But now dream come ‘false’, Microsoft is no longer interest in the deal and turns Yahoo down.

Why? Can’t withdraw $47.5 billion from bank? Hahahaha…joking, please don’t ban my Windows…
