Euro 2008 Preview: Switzerland - Turkey

Published by chickentalk at 7:27 pm under Euro 2008 Match Prediction, Sports

The two losers from the first match day go head-to-head for what is surely a last-chance game for both sides. Either side lose in this match will guaranteed their early flight tickets back to their country expect the Swiss as the Swiss is one of the co-host country. Players just need to drive home instead of Flying. The odd for today match is a bit weird to me as Swiss +1/4 to Turkey? In my point of view, this should be a 50-50 match between the two side. Do remember that Swiss is suffering with the injury of their talismanic captain Alexander Frei. Not only did the number 9 miss the rest of the game, but he’s out for the whole tournament. He is the important asset to the team. It is a toughest match to predict as both team stand a chance to secure the 3 points they need. Which team would you choose???

Me myself still prefer the co-host country - Swiss. The most lethal weapon is the Swiss home ground supporters. Beside, do remember that anything can happen in football and the Swiss may qualified to the last eight if I’m right on all the possibilities. Portugal Secure all 6 point tonight and lose to Switzerland in the final match will guaranteed both team place in the last eight with Portugal still the group leader. If my prediction is correct then i will sent my resume to Astro and request them to replace Shebby with me. Ha!! Go Go Shebby…

My Prediction:

Swiss 1-0 Turkey
